Not a WebIssue Server

Submitted by jonesweb on 2010-06-08

I installed the WebIssues server at http://joneswebdesigns.com/support/ and it works fine there but when I try to use the Desktop Client with this URL and my username and password it says "Not a Webissues Server". I do not use an internet proxy. Any ideas?

I'm having the same issue. I installed WebIssues on my ISP's server today and the install goes fine, but the client won't recognize the new install as a WebIssues Server regardless of the fact /webissues/index.php reports that the server is running and configured properly.

Client: Win/0.9.6
Server: *nix/0.8.5

The interesting thing is that I have WebIssues setup on my local machine for testing and the client logs on fine (and continues to). I reinstalled the client just to be sure, but the error persists.

Any help with the error would be great.

Thanks in advance,

-Nate

You can try to use Fiddler to debug the communication between the client and the server. You can also check the logs (from the http server, php and webissues itself when logging is enabled).
