Sorry if I just missed this feature or if it's already been requested, but would love to see a multi-line text box as a field type so that I can keep notes on bugs. Would be much much easier than using text attachments or the single-line "text" field type to do the same.

Yes, it is. Just keep in mind that there is no upgrade path between alpha versions, so don't put important data there.
