Not able to add hostname due to character lenght restriction

I am trying to install the server on remote DB, the problem is that due to the restriction on character count I am not able to install the same. Is there a way that I can do the same as my DB hostname size is 42 character.
Isn´t it possible to use the server db IP address instead?

I fixed issue by modifying the max character limit.
