I observed a strange behaviour of the issue IDs. I expect *serially* numbered issue IDs.
But I seem that stepsize is changing and increasing:

What went wrong? Do I miss a configuration parameter? It's a bug?

No, it's not a bug. IDs are shared with comments, attachments and other changes, so they are not incremented serially.
