It would be truly great if WI could be integrated with other databases.
An example I have in mind. A client calls up with a request. It would be lovely to be able to have an attribute that is programmed as something like:
Type: Database lookup
Details: (click to form with) database server, database name, query string (or perhaps something else)
That way, when the client calls, we can select the client's name from the drop-down box from the live database lookup. This saves us having to write a cron job to (say) every night update the drop-down list in the attributes with the names of all clients.
Sorry to deluge you with all these suggestions... just raising them as I see them as I play with the app in my context!
As a postscript, if the underlying app and UI weren't so great already, I wouldn't be making all these suggestions for how to improve it, I'd just move on to another app!
