At the moment, if I click on an attachment I get prompted only to save the file. Would it not be possible to prompt the user whether they would like to open/view the attachment or download it?
I'm not suggesting integrating a document viewer (not yet, anyhow...), but the same behaviour as for attachments in email applications, web browsers, etc. would be very helpful as this is what users expect.

Version 0.8.4 had such feature, but there was the magic KDE function which opened a file in a way that it was automatically deleted after closing. Now I will have to handle it on my own. But I guess simply limiting the total size of stored temporary files and deleting the oldest ones when that limit is exceeded would work fine.
Added to my to-do list with high priority :).
