I have a few suggestions
Status Types.
Ability to create groups of status or just a basic selection of statuses which indicate if an issue is new, in progress, pending, completed or ignored.
privacy
ability to set that a ticket is only available to be viewed by the person posting it, and the system admins for security reports.

It is already possible to mark the status on an issue using a dropdown list attribute.
I'm planning to implement a Portal functionality in the future in which users will only see their own issues.
