Enlarge combobox dropdown contents

In some comboboxes (i.e. Projects), i have some rather large titles in my site. It would be nice (if possible) if the drop-down part of the comboboxes was either larger than the one shown closed on screen, or even better, if it was automatically enlarged to fit the largest text possible (up to a point of course).
