Deleting an Issue?

Hi,

Is there a way to delete an issue in the 0.9.6 version?
The situation is that I created an issue type for testing purposes and an associated test issue. I now what to delete both the issue type and associated folder. When I try and delete the folder I get the error message "Folder NAME cannot be deleted because it is not empty". If I could delete the one test issue sitting in the folder then I could delete the folder and then the issue type -but I'm stuck on deleting the issue.

any suggesstions? Upgrading the server to the latest Beta is really not an option unfortunately
