client build-problems

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on

Dear WebIssues user,

I'm very new to that forums and to WebIssues and have my first big problem. - I hope you can help me out:
- I downloaded Version 0.9.1 for Linux (I use Gentoo)
- unpacked the sources to /tmp/webissues-0.9.1
- went into /tmp/webissues-0.9.1
- tried "cmake src/"
- ended up with the error-message:
# cmake src/
CMake Error: Error in cmake code at
/tmp/webissues-0.9.1/src/CMakeLists.txt:14:
Unknown CMake command "QT4_AUTOMOC".

Protocol, using XML

Submitted by hlamer on

Hello.
I am using webissues for our project ( www.monkeystudio.org)

It's looks cool.
And I want to make web interface for it (already started work), wich will use AJAX.
It's more easy to use xml with AJAX, then plain text protocol, so, i rewriting it's now.

And, IDE will have plugin for working with Webissues (track bug's of IDE self, view bugs for projects, that deleloper making).

If xml will be used, need to rewrite Webissues Qt client protocol support for using xml.
And, possible, it's can be oficial version.

Say, what you think.

Important MySQL information

Submitted by clavileno on

In case anyone is having problems with attachments, this might help.

WebIssues comes pre-configured with quite a low attachment limit - above that limit all attachments are put in a folder as files. However you may not want this behaviour, for all sorts of reasons (security being just one of them).

If you raise the pre-configured limit, you'll start getting errors when uploading attachments with a MySQL back-end. This is because MySQL comes pre-configured with a 1M size limit.

[solved] Assign an Issue to a user... how ?

Submitted by manuel on

Hi,
i m not able to assign an user to an issue. I have the Administrator and myself as Users (me being administrator too). When i change the Value from 'Assign To' in an issue the List is empty. Do i have to do something more with the user other than just adding them to get them into the list? Or is this maybe a bug?

I m using: Win XP SP2 as Client and Gentoo with Apache 2.0.58 and php 5.2.2 as Server

Regards
Manuel
