Webdev newbie here, and I've been playing around with a few bugtrackers. I have the most current version of WAMP server installed on my laptop, and I'm trying to replicate what I did with installing Webissues on the localhost to my BlueHost hosted domain.

So, I head into the webissues subdirectory I FTP'd over, I get my host url, which is essentially box###.bluehost.com.

I am trying to configure the Webissues 1.0.5 in Windows 7 Apache, PHP, MySQL latest version.

On the Database Engine Configuration page

I have input the following:

Select the type of the database to use: MySQL
Connection Details
Host name: localhost
Database name: webissues
User name: root
Password: password

I am getting the below error, when proceeding to next page.

"Could not connect to database. Please check connection details and try again."

Please help me to fix this error.

I have installed and configured PHP5.4.13, MySQL5.6.10 over APache2.4.4.

And i could able to load a test page of "PHPinfo.php" and i have stored the Webissues-server Source Package under htdocs of APache,

When i tried to load "http://localhost/webissues/admin/index.php" i am getting the below error

WebIssues Server requires the mbstring extension.

Please help me out to with this error.

1.how the system allow to generate email only for the attr value for user attr type, only in case of immediate notification, in job.php i found it generate for all users where both email and alerts configured.
2. in cron job logs, how to put all emails sent instead of count in sent++. this is to troubleshoot some email issue.
